Come Christmas break, we'll have a one-shot adventure on a secret but not-so-secret module I'm currently reading. It's designed for 4-6 players of around 9th level and will take around 4-5 3-hour sessions. Since it's a rather tough one, you'll create your characters using the standard 32-point buy. I'll pre-generate characters for those who are a bit challenged by the technicalities. No character background is necessary, give me your best min/max/munchkinism-PhD.s hehe!
Natz will be around that time (starting 3rd week of Dec.) so we can expect his dwarven-cleric or dwarven-paladin avatar to be in for the ride!

Askang ngilngiga sa monk POys uy!! Si GrandMaster Kane, kauban sa company of seven, katong ning brave sa Castle Perilous against the WitchKing Zhengyi. Seven sila nga adventurer, a paladin of illmater(now king of Damaraa) Gareth Dragonsbane(naa siya Crusader the Holy Avenger), his druidess wife Christine (wala ning participate sa raid nila ni Zhengyi), Friar Dugal of Illmater, the rogue Celedon Kierney, Olwen Forestfriend the ranger, the bard Riordan Parnell, Grandmaster Kane and Emelyn the Gray (ArchMage)
Kane can avoid Emelyn's lightning bolts, fireballs and all sorts of colors of the prism. Kulbaan ang two adult copper dragon, they would prefer to face anybody sa band nila except Kane. He also defeated in one setting 2 adult reds and one white, nag-unay ra sila sa breath weapon nila. The band of Seven with the whole troop of Damaraa lay seige sa castle nga gi angkon ni Entreri ug Jaraxle. Ning charge ang heavy cavalry with Gareth in the lead with his holy avenger only to watch Kane bare foot outrunning his cavalry, naka patay na ug 3 ka goblins si Kane una pa ning abot ang cavalry.
Inside sa castle face to face si Entreri with his vampiric dagger and Charon's Claw against Olwen with his huge axe Tree-something?? Bun-0g kaayo Entreri, but he managed to out flank the ranger and had the dagger to his neck, pero ning abot si Kane, nya naa cya power nga na control niya ang body ni Entreri. Don't know that feat. Pero wala dag-anan si Entreri kung mag one on one sila Kane. You know that Charion's claw is a sentient sword that if you have a weak will, it will literaly consume the weilder to ashes, taas kaayo will si Entreri nga he doesn't need the special glove to use Charion's Claw, but for Kane, punit niya ang sword after the encounter, nya " Kane picked it up-his eyes widened in shock for just a moment. Then he shrugged, considered the weapon, and set it under the sash that tied his dirty robes." Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Didn't know that a monk could be that dangerous.

Wow! I do have a 20th level monk sa Icewind Dale 2. Kusug kaayu molakaw and I usually use him as forward decoy. The monsters would just swarm around him oblivious to the fact that my 2 sorcerers, wizard, and cleric would drop their fireballs and flame strike right in the middle! 1 round after, what's left would be charred bodies and the few hardy ones with just some sliver of life which my unscathed monk would clobber to death.
Marns I had a taste of the good old days when I chanced on a lonely copy of the paperback issue of "Promise of the Witch-King" at Natio! Hehehe! Beat that!
As for "Road of the Patriarch" grrrr wala pa diri!

for Quivering Palm to work, you need the monk to hit the target first, then the monk can decide (indefinitely therafter) if he chooses to paralyze or to actually kill the target AT WILL!
