Finally! Finally! Our gang's party of four - a warrior, elf, wizard, and monk once more set foot on the magical lands of the Forgotten Realms. The group was tingling with excitement. Quite literally so, that on their very first encounter, the party's wizard let out a fiery fireball--blasting a group of threatining armed humans before anyone had ever had a chance to talk. It all started when the party's elf (a rogue/ranger) was stealthily scouting these humans. Before the light-footed scout was able to close in for an earshot's distance, one of the humans caught sight of him and instinctively alerted his group at their pointy-eared eavesdropper. Then came a chase as the elf tried to scurry away, with the humans already arming themselves in pursuit. Initiative rolls soon followed, and the chase instantly turned out into all-out violence--bows snapping, swords drawn, and magic prepared. The party realized the humans also had a spellcaster in their ranks, whose charm spell targetting the elf came short of the elf's resistive will. But the party's wizard wasted no time, nay, itched all over to flick his hands in arcane gestures and lob no less than a fireball at the closely-formed humans. Foooom!!! And the battle was clearly won. The human's wizard was lucky enough to survive, casted invisibility and fled. The rest was peppered by arrows and bolts fired by the rest of the party, taking them down one at a time. One was able to flee, but that was cut short by blasts of magic missiles hurled by the the party's wizard.Up to now we name them party's wizard, elf, monk, and warrior, because the gang so far couldn't be a bit more coherent with their names. So we're left to call them by their obvious appearances. Flesh 'em out guys!
Pax poses for a roll.
Slim Shadey the shade monk.

dili to corrupt akong roll uy. roll at once ang six die. lucky roll ra. professional na mi ug gamay sa gaming, wala nay binuang (fingers crossed).
wala nay annoying "heal me" pleas. heal thy self na lang ang motto namo. gladly i have a hevard's handy haversack filled to the rim with potions of cure light wounds. hehehe.
marn's di na siya cyric, "cyril" na siya. lain man to si cyric bay.
tee,he,hehe... opssss, Cyril diay....the ever faithfull monk. Whats the adventure all about?
don't know yet.
but there are two hooks.
1. search a tower belonging to long forgotten uncle (presumed to be dead), for some sort of book. the villager offered us 300gp each to do the deed and we get everything else. we counter-offered, but the dm would have none of it.
2. missing villagers who haven't returned for two days past, this time, it's an uncle looking for his nephew. thinking about it, there's this guy who forgot about his uncle for who knows since when and asks us to fetch for his uncles book; then there's this other uncle looking for a nephew who's just missing for one afternoon. maybe it's the long lost uncle of the guy who missed his nephew's uncle. confused? me too.
so we go on to an adventure. i suppose this village is in a crossroad somewhere in faerun because i did not meet the guys along the way. in fact, we just popped in front of villager in his quiant little village called...maybe the name will be supplied later. as the story goes we took the bait, hook, line and sinker in one big gulp. it's our first encounter, in our first adventure since 2004...2003...um...2002. the tower as described by the villager we talked to is about 2 days walk, strangely there are no horses in this village, not even a donkey.
so there we were walking along a dusty road, the warm gentle breeze of the summer wind blowing in our faces. walk...walk...walk...lunch...walk...walk...walk. afternoon came, that would be our cue. reygie's ranger spotted some signs of commotion about 2 days past. he tracked our prey and found them huddling along preparing to camp. but we have other ideas of course. so, the rest is history. or some of them were history.

wala gyud. dry as sands of anauroch. the dungeon floor plan was a freebie from the 3.5 DMG, as for the char and monster stubs, I made 'em myself. hehehe

Wala. No cleric. Nunca. And that's like four draft horses mightily drawing a fully loaded wagon of stoneworked statues from The Spine of the World down to Calimshan minus the cartwheels.
long found but its always lost said:gladly i have a hevard's handy haversack filled to the rim with potions of cure light wounds. hehehe.
And when all those potions are guzzled dry...
And when all those potions are guzzled dry...
that's the question i wouldn't want to answer.
He, he,he,he... good old walking along a dusty-road-bit...ah....the fresh air, nice and tranquil...I remember my first death...it was along a dusty road..
wish i was there, to help myself to some healing potions, kay kung wala mag cleric, way cleric, mag fighter sad ko.. kay kung save ur own ass ang motto, ok kaayo.
Nice kaayo ang grid encounters noh? Way maka lusot sa fireball dmg, nya defined kaayo ang moves.
When ang next game?
Unsa manto ang i paste? Another dnd web site?
aw, duwa kaayo gahapon. q, rabin, cyril, reygie, ako. pwerting nindota, hurled through an ambush and 3 sucessive waves gikan sa kontra. first, ambush by 2 ranger/ rogues type ug 1 fighter, reygie failed his hide and move silently checks, but it was an ambush those rolls were doomed to fail anyways, albeit fighting valiantly he was almost dropped but rescued just in time. the ambush party was easily dispensed with pag-abot namo. dayon first call for reinforcements was made, 2 ranger/ rogue type & 2 fighter, 1 mage, new faces, except for the mage, so i had to make my introduction. 20dmg fireball kaboom, kills. arrows, fist and swords flying more kills. the mage ran back with another batch of for the 2nd wave of regular V.C.s. another fireball 24dmg KABOOOOM. enemy mage finally dies. so did some other of his guys. arrows flying, fists pounding, swords slashing for more kills. before the last man fell, he cried out Lieutenant!
third and final wave. remember sa first hook katong nagsugo namo well, surprise...surprise...siya ra sad diay ang minor leader. himoun kuno mi niya ug slaves, presumably mao sad to ang nahitabo sa second hook. firing his enervation spell against my mage which luckily for me failed to hit me. slavery is such a hard word, so cyrils character decided to shove it in his mouth, he was grappled by cyril till he fill limp to the ground. then there were his friends two of them in fact. the other one become a friend to the earth after a hard convincing by rabin and q. and the other one became my friend by just saying "i'm your friend." geez who ever thought it would work.
but all in all, probably about 14 kills.
nindot ang grid encounters, klaro tanan wa nay, "naa ko didto...aw naa diay ko diri lines." next game karong domingo umaabot.
marns, your first death was in a long and dusty road. i thought it was in a round dark lonely void.
maayo unta maka apil ka ug duwa, karong sunday apas ha.
